Customer Review: PSP Slim and Lite Review
To begin, I have very little experience with the first model PSP. Mind you I have pretty good experience with every other hand held though. Anyways, I gotta say this machine is simply amazing. The graphics are somewhere in between the Sega Dreamcast and PS2, which is leaps and bounds better than Nintendo’s competing hand held the DS. Also, now that the system has been out for quite some time, the PSP has a large library of video games and UMD’s which is something it couldn’t offer at launch. In addition, the unit has mp3, video playback and photo viewing capabilities. Combine that together and you are likely to never be bored again.
The system does a few drawbacks though. The entire PSP is a magnet for fingerprints and dust, it shows up everywhere and quite frequently. The battery can give you about 4 hours if you play games or watch video and I’ve heard you can boost it to 10 hours if you mostly listen to mp3s. Though not much of a drawback if you have a Sony digital camera, you need to buy a memory stick pro duo memory card to save any data on it. Not too many drawbacks, but they are noteworthy.
Basically this system is the best portable entertainment package available. Forget an Ipod Video, Zune or whatever, this thing can take you to better places. It is worth noting that there are not any accessories designed for the Slim and Lite PSP as of October 3, 2007, so if you do buy one keep that in mind.

The PSP slim, while not a drastic departure from it’s chunkier sister, offers a perfect chance for those who’ve yet to join the psp fanboy ranks to do so. I did not own a psp before this but have had some hands on time with one. Once you open the package and get this lil’ bugger in your hands you will automatically feel the difference. It feels so light that one feels a sense of danger it that they may break it by holding it too tight. Since owning this silver psp i have put it through a bit of roughness and can easily say if it’s not chucked around waton-ly it should take a lickin and keep on tickin. Also the finish on it seems to be fingerprint proof which is so very nice. The screen though isn’t. In that respect I reccomend a nice cleaning cloth or a screen protector to be on the safe side. Now for the accessories: first up Family Guy. The family guy umd is a nice little add in but if you’re a family guy fan such as myself you’ve most likely seen these episodes numerous times. I’ve watched it maybe once and not the whole way through either but that’s just because i’ve seen them so many times that they are old hat and just not all that entertaining anymore. Daxter is a fun game. Even if you’ve never played any of the Jak games you can still fully enjoy Daxter. It’s a neat game that you can pick up and play easily. At times it can get frustrating but with autosave and unlimited lives getting far in this game with a little effort can be a fairly enjoyable experience. The set also comes with a 1gb memory card. It’s a decent size to begin with but with use becomes easily full especially once you add larger demos and videos. I recommend visiting a gamestop or eb games and picking up a smaller capacity stick for game saves only. Then you can use the 1gb stick for strictly media such as wallpapers, demos, videos, and music. Click To Buy Now…
